Screenplays

My cousin Tim Maurer and I recently wrote a feature length screenplay about our mutual experience working for the family dental supply business.  It took about one year to complete.

In brief:

“PULLING TEETH” is the story of Tyler Mauler, a recently divorced failing rock star who begins working for his dysfunctional family business selling dental supplies.  Tyler’s health freak father Peter and alcoholic frat-boy uncle Mitch order Tyler to double cross Indian and Chinese dental supply smugglers which leads to Tyler and Peter’s kidnapping by the Chinese mafia. The abduction is harrowing, but brings embattled father and son closer together as the Maulers attempt to escape, refusing to go down without a fight.

This is an actual sales pitch video made by our former dental supply employer.  It stars my Dad and Uncle and co- stars me, beaming in and out like a Star Trek character. My first beam-in is at the 42 second mark.

And the next video is another actual infomercial made by our former employer. It also stars my Dad and my Uncle. We based the main characters from “Pulling Teeth” on these two.
